Welcome to our Website
This is the personal Website of the Tappin Family mainly in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England but also of those that have ventured further afield within the UK. Although it is entitled the "Tappin Family Website" it does of course include all branches of the family tree and their descendants that now have other surnames through marriage or otherwise. It is intended to provide a platform for family members to promote, advertise or record their individual personal or family interests. Many of us share common interests such as narrowboating and walking but other interests include genealogy, poetry writing, postcards, church stained glass and photography.

The extended Tappin Family is large by today's standards, our parents having had nine children, the first-born died as an infant and our eldest brother died age 54. Father died in 1988 aged 81, brother Clive died in 2008 age 69 and mother now has, give or take one or two, 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

We also produce our own Family Magazine & Newsletter which is published about four times a year; we have contributions on a wide variety of subjects from all age groups within the family. Additionally, we produce our own annual Family Calendar.

| It is with deep regret that I to have to say that our dear brother Clive passed away on 1 Nov 2008 following a relatively short illness, to the end he was joking with his family, displayed real courage and was steadfast in his beliefs. A huge loss. David Tappin |
